events for corporate and private clients in venues worldwide,
and we maintain a strong belief in the potential of a web-based
marketplace for event planners and suppliers.
The Founder
Angela Brown, Founder and CEO of OpenDoor Events, Inc., brings eleven years
of experience in the event planning industry to the company. She started
her career with French company Dasar, Inc. where she was responsible for
sales and later event production for Dasar’s global IT conferences
and trade shows. She was also responsible for planning local and international
events hosted by the company's founder for visiting executives and dignitaries
such as William Gates of Microsoft, Paul Deninger of Broadview, Eric Benhamou
of 3Com and Former Prime Minister of Israel, Shimon Peres. In 1997, Ms.
Brown played a large role in the expansion of DASAR’s conference
base to include METRE, the Mediterranean Technology Roundtable Exhibition,
which was held in Tel Aviv, Israel in its first year. In the midst of the
Internet boom, Ms. Brown also planned countless launch events and black
tie affairs on behalf of conference sponsors.
In 2002, Ms. Brown left DASAR to pursue a career in hotel
management, first at the Sheraton LA Harbor Hotel in Los
Angeles, and then at the Pan Pacific Hotel in San Francisco.
It was at this time that Ms. Brown fully realized the need
for an event resource such as OpenDoorEvents.com. She left
the Pan Pacific in May 2004 to pursue the development of
such a resource and became the Founder and CEO of OpenDoor
Events, Inc.
